Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

100% Refund

Entitled to: A complete refund, excluding handling fees

Handling Charge: €50 for credit card transactions

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Entitled to: 50% of the overall charter expense

Time to Process: 7-10 working days

Handling Charge: €25 is taken from the refund amount

Requirements: A valid justification is necessary; admin costs are applicable

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Entitled to: No refund will be issued

Exception: Emergent situations may be reviewed

Alternative: A credit for chartering may be extended at the discretion of the management

Requirements: Proof is required for emergency claims

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Commitment to Safety

We prioritize safety above all. If our certified captain assesses that the weather is hazardous for sailing, we offer flexible alternatives:

  • Complete Refund: Issued if it is not feasible to reschedule
  • Change Date: Shift your trip to another available slot without any extra fees
  • Charter Credit: Obtain a voucher valid for a full year from the original charter date

Method of Weather Evaluation

Our process for weather evaluation includes:

  • An analysis of wind currents and direction
  • Checks on wave intensity and marine conditions
  • Forecasts of visibility levels and precipitation
  • Advisories and cautions from the Coast Guard
  • A safety judgment made by our professional captain

Timing for Decision: Determinations regarding weather cancellations are made at most 4 hours before the scheduled departure.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Unforeseen Emergencies

We are aware that sudden medical emergencies can occur. Under the following instances, special consideration may be granted:

  • Sudden illness or harm necessitating hospitalization
  • Passing of a family member
  • Called to active military duty or emergency recall
  • Legal obligations such as jury duty or court orders
  • Natural calamities that impact travel

Proving an Emergency

For emergency refund claims, please provide the following:

  • Confirmation from a medical institution or hospital papers
  • A death certificate (where applicable)
  • Official military notification
  • Legal summons or notice for jury service
  • Advisories or official declarations of crisis

Processing: Emergency refunds are processed within 3-5 working days after proper documentation has been received.

Operational Cancellations

Technical Failures

If the boat allocated to you suffers from technical issues that can't be immediately fixed:

  • Replacement Vessel: We will attempt to find a similar substitute
  • Complete Refund: Provided if no appropriate replacement is on hand
  • Partial Refund: Granted if the replacement has a different rate
  • Compensation: Additional recompense may be extended for the hassle caused

Inability of Crew Availability

In the unusual event that certified crew members are not available:

  • A substitute crew will be sought if feasible
  • Complete refund if the charter is unable to take place
  • Option to reschedule without incurring more expenses

Refund Administration

Mode of Reimbursement

We return funds via the same method used for the original transaction:

  • Credit Card: Typically takes 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfer: Generally 7-10 business days
  • Cash/Check: Approximately 3-5 business days

Credit Card Fees

€50 fee for cancellations more than 72 hours in advance

Bank Transfer Fees

€25 fee for all bank transfer refunds

Foreign Transaction Fees

Extra charges might apply for transactions outside domestic boundaries

Credit for Future Charters

In specific scenarios, we may offer charter credits instead of reimbursements:

  • Last-minute cancellations (under 24 hours)
  • Cancellations due to bad weather
  • Voluntary requests to change the date
  • Interruptions due to operational issues

Credit Conditions

  • Term of Effectiveness: 12 months starting from the date of issuance
  • Transfer Restrictions: Credits cannot be transferred
  • Value: Equates to the full value of the charter without any fees deducted
  • Application: Can be used for any open charter slots
  • Expiration: Credits valid up to but not beyond 12 months

Compensation for a Reduced Service

Service Disruptions

Should your charter be interrupted or cut short due to reasons we can control:

  • A proportional refund for the time not utilized
  • A voucher for a future equal-value charter
  • Gratis services or enhancements

Disruptions Caused by Guests

In the event a charter is concluded early as a result of guest behavior or breaches of safety:

  • No reimbursement for the portion not used
  • Full payment remains owed
  • Extra fees might be incurred

If you are not in agreement with the outcome of a refund claim, you have several options:

  • Request an assessment from our management
  • Submit more evidence or information
